The U.S. Electoral College could be replaced by the popular vote

Pros of the Electoral College include "protecting minority interests, facilitating a two-party system, and directing more power to states." Cons include electing someone a majority of Americans did not vote for, "dissuading people from voting, and giving power to small, swing states."
