The extractive industry could publish payments to and contracts made with governments

"In more than 50 countries, secretive payments to governments by extractive companies have been replaced by public reports, while more than 30 of those countries have passed laws requiring companies to publish their payments and are working with communities to ensure everyone benefits fairly from natural resources."
