Alpha-lipoic-acid could be avoided with dental fillings

"ALA binds with toxic metals, such as mercury found in dental amalgam fillings. There are two thoughts one where ALA supports the mobilization and excretion of mercury and the other is ALA is rapidly metabolized and eliminated. The mercury that was bound to it is now left free to flow about the body, referred to as redistribution. Redistribution can lead to mercury toxicity symptoms and is especially disconcerting as it can concentrate in the brain. To answer the question “is it safe to take ALA if you have dental amalgam fillings?” one has to understand the ratio between ALA and the amount of toxic mercury stored in the tissues of the individual."
